GUERNSEY– The Lady Vikings are having a great start to their season. Following a Homecoming Victory over Hanna-Elk Mountain, they are 4-1. On Friday, Sept. 6, the Lady Vikings won their first conference match against HEM, posting scores of 25-23, 25-17, 19-25, and 25-20.
Stat leaders were: Jordan Atwood posted five kills and 23 digs; Leni Dimas had four kills and nine assists; Layla Noggle earned six assists and 22 digs; Kierstyn Collar recorded eight kills and five aces; and Liberty Whitebird had 26 digs and three aces.
Coach Talon said, “We are so excited to start off our season 4-1. We began the season with the LFL tournament where the girls came to play! They gave a good fight in the first set against Pine and unfortunately it just didn’t turn out in our favor. We were able to keep our mindset positive and persevere with our next opponents; Kaycee, Hulett, and Hanna-Elk Mountain. HEM visited our Homecoming this Friday and we were able to come out on top in four sets. These girls have grown so much last season and started this season off strong. We intend to be a force to be reckoned with as the season continues.”
