HARTVILLE – Connie Lynne Mead-Pfeifer, 63, passed away while surrounded by loved ones on October 18, 2023, after a brave fight with cancer. Connie was born March 24, 1960, in Gillette, to Donald and Pearl (Elmore) Offe.
She graduated from Alameda high school in Lakewood, Colorado. In her younger years, she ran several businesses including an at home daycare and a party planning business. She also put her planning skills and creativity to work supporting the PTA where she organized everything from carnivals to volunteer events. She was a resilient, tough woman who moved many, many times in her life. As a result, Connie could make a home anywhere. She enjoyed camping, particularly at the Guernsey reservoir, where she was known for bringing everything to make camping comfortable (including the kitchen sink).
One of Connie’s favorite pastimes was thrifting and she always got a thrill from finding a deal. She appreciated music and could often be found dancing to it in her kitchen. Connie had a compassionate heart and could never turn down someone in need; she was known to take people and animals into her home, and she volunteered at animal shelters and nursing homes.
Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and her pets. Her fantastic smile and memorable laugh will be missed.
Loved and remembered by her husband of 22 years, Richard Pfeifer; children, Chelsey (Chris) Thompson, Audrey Mead, Adele (Andrew Pineda) Mead-Pineda, and Derrick Rogers; grandchildren, Coraline Azalea Pearl, Eris Opal Love, Mateo Donilo Pineda, and Harley Luna Pineda; father, Donald Offe; brothers, Ronald (Joanne) Offe and Troy (Jennifer) Offe; nieces, nephews, and loving extended family. Preceded by son, Arthur Pfeifer and mother, Pearl (Elmore) Offe.
A graveside service for Connie Lynne Mead-Pfeifer, 63, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 28, 2023 at the Hartville Cemetery near Hartville, with Reverend Rex Martin officiating. A reception will follow at the Hartville Museum. gormanfh.com
