Dogs rescued from West Bank await adoption

Posted

HARTVILLE — Following a successful rescue and transport from the West Bank, dogs previously in shelters at the beginning of the Palestine-Israel conflict are now digging in the snow and strolling along green pathways, and are settling into the Kindness Ranch sanctuary, making themselves right at home.

Over 100 former research animals will spend spring at the Ranch, and the existing dog yurts have gotten an upgrade. Doggie doors have been added for more personal space and safety. With the increasing number of dogs coming to Kindness Ranch, our top priority is to minimize the amount of stress these dogs experience during their transition after being rescued from a lab to finding their forever homes.

Our first of many to come, 20 beagles and beagle-mixes recently arrived at Kindness Ranch and we are over the moon to be accepting dozens of dogs and some kitties over the next couple of months. They will all get to enjoy the comforts of our renovated animal yurts.

There are a handful of West Bank dogs still looking for their forever families, and adoption fees until May 15 will be 50% for approved homes. Additionally, due to the expectation of so many new companions, we are offering 50% off all adoptions approved by May 15.

As a nonprofit organization, our mission to provide an alternative future to former research animals is only possible through our community of supporters. We all believe these sweet animals deserve a happy, fulfilled life and a chance to embrace their true nature. Each day, dozens of animals are under the care of our expert staff. While we continue working to rescue more, many dogs and cats are awaiting their next adventure of adoption.
