TORRINGTON – Graveside services for Beverly C. Lowe, 84, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 7, 2021, at the Valley View Cemetery with Reverend Bill Eaton officiating. Beverly died May 28, 2021, at Goshen Healthcare Community. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society. Visitation will be Monday from 10 a.m. to noon at the funeral home. Beverly was born May 11, 1937, in Hartville, the daughter of Ernest and Doris (Sudbury) Sims. She grew up and received her education in Roseberg, Oregon where she graduated high school in 1956. She came back to Torrington, where she attended Eastern Wyoming College for three years.
She married James Lowe on June 30, 1956, in Roseberg, Oregon. She worked various jobs in the Torrington area before working at Diversified Services, where she became director of the Senior Department. She later retired from there.
Beverly enjoyed golfing, knitting, crocheting and playing the piano.
Beverly is survived by a son James Lowe of Lincoln, Nebraska; a daughter Shawn Atkinson of Texas; a sister Wanda Vaudry of Fort Collins, Colorado; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; stepfather Clyde Sidders; daughter Shannon Briggs; and her companion Wayne Veal.
