MORRILL, NE – The Martin sisters had a very good day at the Morrill Early Bird track meet last Saturday, picking up a pair of top three finishes with the majority of the 2-17 season yet ahead of them. Both sophomores, the twins have had a lot of success already in their junior high and high school sports endeavors, playing volleyball and basketball since elementary school.
Whitney Martin finished second in the 400 Meter Dash, clocking 1:05.34. Bailey Martin took third place in the Shot Put with a distance of 32’5”.
Viking junior sprinter Elana Heer also had a good day, picking up third in the 200 Meter Dash with a time of 28.59 and sixth in the 100 Meter Dash in 14.0.
Heer picked up the Lady Vikings only other points, finishing fourth in the Long Jump with a distance of 14’3”.

Kassidy Morales: 100 Meter Dash (17.25); 200 Meter Dash (35.85); Long Jump (9’8”)
Sierra Ballou: 800 Meter Run (3:04); Triple Jump (27’-1/4”)
