MITCHELL, Neb. – The Panhandle Senior Women’s Golf Association held its third outing of 2020 on June 29 at the Scenic Knolls Golf Course in Mitchell. Thirty-eight women endured the heat and had a great time.
It was another very competitive outing. Taking first place with a score of 72/59.7 net and four birdies was Jill Lenz, Becky Mikel and Julie Eaton. Second place with a score of 71/60.49 net and three birdies was Tracy Smith, Terry Grosz, Sharon Nuss and Vicki Weingart. Taking third place with a score of 74/60.89 net and one birdie was Peggy Wagner, Grace Brisby, Judie Brighton and Norma Perkins. Fourth place with a score of 74/60.92 net and two birdies was the team of Sandy Huckfeldt, Terry Espinoza, Claudia Benda and Sue Bringelson.
Flag prizes were awarded as follows: Longest Drive “A” Player – Sandy Huckfeldt, Longest Drive “B” Player – Terry Grosz, Longest Drive “C” Player – Julie Eaton, Longest Drive “D” Player – Jane Holecheck. Jill Lenz and Terry Espinoza won Longest Putts flags. Karel Essex and Jane Faber won Closest Tee Shot flags. Grace Brisby was Closest to the Pin 3rd Shot and Jolene McGinnis was Closest to the Water on the Drive.
