Carla Lattimer died peacefully on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, in West Haven, Utah. She was born in Sunrise, on August 16, 1947. She was one of ten children born to Walter L. Elmore SR and Helen Pearl (Nelson) Elmore.
Carla graduated from Guernsey Sunrise High School. She married Nels Wallace in 1967, in Guernsey, Wyoming and lived in Cheyenne, Wyoming for several years. Her children, William Walter “Bill” Wallace and Ann ReNae “Annie” Wallace were born there.
She later married Duane Patrick Lattimer on December 22, 1982, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Duane passed away in 2014, in Tooele, Utah where they managed apartment buildings.
People knew her as a happy, loving, joyous person who would take time to talk to most anyone.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Pearl L. Offe, and three brothers, Lon Albert Elmore, Ray Edwin Elmore, and Robert Duane Elmore. Surviving are her two step sons, Eric and Chad Lattimer of Wisconsin, and siblings, Kathryn Gutierrez of Yukon, Oklahoma, Walter L Elmore Jr. of Guernsey, Marvin Elmore and his wife, Carol also of Guernsey, James Elmore and his wife, Mary Lou of Cheyenne, and Mike Elmore of Columbia, Missouri.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at the Platte Chapel at 1108 9th Street, Wheatland, from 1:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Prairie West Cemetery near Guernsey.
