The Guernsey-Sunrise boys basketball team came up short in a couple of games last week but defeated Glendo by a score of 54-16 on Feb. 11.
Brian McCoid led Viking scorers with 20 points, scoring eight baskets out of 11 attempts from the floor and made three free throws.
Brock Hohnholt scored 17 points in the winning effort for the Vikings.
Justin Malcom scored 11 points and Alex Sturdivant, Caleb Christensen and Dominick Ibarra accounted for 2 points each.
Hunter Warner had one assist in the game.
The team lost a home non-conference game against Niobrara County by a score of 60-40 on Feb. 10.
Alex Delgado scored 15 points in the contest to led Viking scorers.
Hohnholt scored 12 points, McCoid scored 9 points and Ibarra had 4 points.
Malcom had two assists in the game.
The Viking boys lost Friday’s away non-conference game against Sioux County (Neb.) by a score of 73-45.
Hohnholt led Viking scorers with 21 points.
Malcom scored 12 points, McCoid scored 7 points and Ibarra had 3 points.
Other Vikings scorers included Warner with 2 points and Caleb Christensen
With 1 point.
The results of the games bring the Vikings record to 2-3 in conference and 6-10 overall.
Guernsey-Sunrise will play an away conference game against Glendo today before ending the season with a home game to HEM on Friday and an away game at Rock River on Saturday.
