GUERNSEY – The Guernsey-Sunrise boys basketball team came our victorious after Friday’s home conference game against Rock River by a score of 53-47.
Alex Delgado led Viking scorers with 24 points, scoring nine baskets out of 14 attempts from the floor with six free throws.
Brock Hohnholt and Brian McCoid each scored 12 points in the winning effort for the Vikings.
Justin Malcom scored 4 points and Hunter Warner accounted for 1 point.
Dominick Ibarra had one assist in the game.
As a team, the Vikings scored 20 buckets on 48 attempts from the floor and 11 on 33 attempts from the foul line.
The win brings the Vikings record to 1-3 in conference play and 5-8 overall.
Guernsey-Sunrise host Glendo today then travel to face Sioux County (Neb.) on Friday.
