Lady Vikes soldier on through challenging season

GUERNSEY—The Lady Vikings played at Hanna-Elk Mountain on Thursday night, then spent Saturday at the  Morrill Tournament.

The Lady Miners dispatched the Vikes in three games by scores of 25-17, 25-11 and 25-17.

 On Saturday, the Lady Vikes bowed to Sioux County in games of 25-9 and 25-18.  Their played a much closer second match against Morrill but the Lady Lions claimed both games, 25-19 and 25-21.  Minatare also prevailed in their match, winning games of 25-19 and 25-13.

This week, the Lady Vikings will get plenty of court time.  The junior varsity will host Wheatland on Thursday with games set for 4 and 5 p.m. 

The varsity team will play at Glendo on Friday.  First serve is set for 5 p.m.  On Saturday, they’ll head to Sioux County with games set for 10 and 11 a.m. 

The junior high girls will play on Tuesday when Wheatland comes to Guernsey for games at 4:30 and 5:30 p.m.  On Thursday, the junior high girls will host Rock River at 4:30 and 5:30 p.m.
