The first home football game of the season for the Guernsey-Sunrise Vikings was held Saturday with special recognition for all past players, coaches, managers, cheerleaders, athletic directors, etc. from the last 60 years, including those who played in the final game at Sunrise field at Sunrise High School. Festivities included a morning tour of memories of the former Sunrise football field, an opportunity to share memories at a “fifth-quarter gathering” at Crazy Tony’s after the game, and a benefit golf tournament for future football camps played early on Sunday morning.
