WHEATLAND — PCAG proudly presents our Artist of the Month, Autumn Whinnery! Autumn grew up in a small town 90 miles south of Jackson, Wyoming. She has some family that still live there. The majority of her family live in southeastern Colorado. She moved to Wheatland 8 years ago after meeting RJ Allison. They were recently engaged.

Autumn went to cosmetology school to be a Nail Tech. She Loves traditional Native American beadwork. Kathleen Brannon is a huge inspiration of hers!  She uses a lot of the traditional Native American techniques when it comes to bead and leather work.

As far as crafting goes Autumn really hasn’t ventured out of beadwork. Beading horse tack is by far her favorite thing to work on.  She is trying her knack at making some beaded jewelry. She has been giving beadwork to friends and family for Christmas presents. This year she would like to step out of her comfort zone. She wants to start selling some of her work and entering some in the county fair.

Outside of beadwork Autumn is a cook at the middle school here in Wheatland. She loves getting to interact with the kids every day!

You can see some of Autumn’s artwork in the window at Dance Wyoming. If anyone is interested in purchasing any of her beautiful work: nailsbyautumn2014@gmail.com (307) 840-1413, is her contact info.
