PLATTE COUNTY – The UW extension is calling all master gardeners and interested growers who want to know how to grow and use herbs and edible flowers.
They are calling the teaching, “Put some Sparkle in your Spring” and there are morning sessions dedicated to all those interested. The morning seminar will be held this Saturday, April 2 from 8:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. and it will be held at the Ag Resources & Learning Center at 2011 Fairgrounds Road in Casper.
The morning session will begin with a welcome at 8:30 a.m. followed by the first session at 8:45 entitled “Growing Edible Flowers & Herbs in Containers. At 10 a.m. the session will be, “Using Edible Flowers & Herbs in Agua Frescas and Tea Concentrates. At 11:15 the last session will over “Cooking with Edible Flowers & Herbs.”
The cost for materials is $20 and the first 10 registrants will receive a free copy of “Your 6-Week Guide to LiveBest – Simple Solutions for Fresh Foods and Well-Being” by Judy Barbe.
