Present: CM Harris, Mayor Delgado, CM Martinez, CM Kelley, CM Whitworth

Mayor Delgado called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. The assembly joined in the Pledge of Allegiance and was welcomed to the meeting.

Agenda: CM Kelley moved to approve the agenda, seconded by CM Harris. Vote taken and motion carried with 5 ayes.

Minutes: CM Harris moved to approve the minutes as presented, seconded by CM Kelley. Vote taken and motion carried with 5 ayes.

Consideration of Claims: Mayor Delgado presented the vouchers to approval. CM Martinez moved to approve the Considerations of Claims in the amount of $173,951.89, seconded by CM Whitworth. Vote taken and motion carried with 5 ayes. Purchase Policy: CM Harris moved to increase the Town’s minimum bid price from $20,000 to $35,000, to meet the state’s minimum requirement, seconded by CM Whitworth. Vote taken and motion carried with 5 ayes.

Christopher Martinez: The Council agreed to let Christopher Martinez close the street in front of his house on May 20, 2017 from 5:30 pm to midnight. The blocked street will be Ontario between Idaho Avenue and the ally immediately east of Idaho Avenue.

Open Container Permit – Kelley’s Bar 8/19-8/21: The Council tabled their decision on the open container permit. They would like to talk with Renee a little more before making a decision.

Public Comments: Christa Bartel informed the Council that they will be playing Reveille at 7 am, Retreat at 4:30 pm, and Taps at 9 pm every evening on camp. Kit Armour from the Chamber reported that they are in the process of getting their budget done. There will be Whiskey and Vodka and Wine, Oh My on April 28th.

Department Reports: Bruce Heimbuck reported that there were 4 bids opened for the Culver Hotel remodel project. They ranged from $586,000 up to $1,100,000. Bruce will meet with the contractor to make sure everything is included in the bid and they will get started. The Cobblestone will be opening on April 28th. Bruce is currently trying to raise money for a dance floor at Gordon Davis Park.

Announcements: 4/20 – Pancake Dinner, GS School, 4/22 - Lake Guernsey VFW Annual Shrimp Feed, 4/25 – Cobblestone Ribbon Cutting, 4/27 – Planning & Zoning, 5/2 – Town Council Meeting.

Executive Session –Fire Personnel: CM Harris moved to go into Executive Session to discuss Fire, seconded by CM Whitworth. Vote taken and motion carried with 5 ayes. The Council reconvened into the regular meeting with no decisions being made at 7:12 pm.

Adjournment: With no further business to come before the Council, Mayor Delgado called for a motion to adjourn. CM Harris moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:13 pm, seconded by CM Whitworth. Vote taken and motion carried with 5 ayes.
