GUERNSEY – Motorists are reminded to be aware of pedestrian traffic as children are walking to and from school, beginning this week.
As teachers dove into the business end of preparing for students last week, the school's Wellness Committee organized a wellness walk along the Platte River as teachers started their first day of school, which was followed by a breakfast provided by the Guernsey-Sunrise school board team.
There was a welcome back to school dance for students held on Saturday, the first fall sports practice and back-to-school night were on Monday, and the first bell will ring Wednesday for students at 8 a.m. sharp.
