CHEYENNE – On July 1, Secretary Chuck Gray welcomed several new additions to the Wyoming Election Code. House Enrolled Act 46, which strengthens Wyoming’s voter ID law for absentee ballots, and House Enrolled Act 30, which increases transparency in the release of Wyoming’s Voter Registry List information, all went into effect on July 1. House Enrolled Act 70, which prevents crossover voting and closes Wyoming’s primaries, and Senate Enrolled Act 86, which advances election security by, among other things, shortening the early voting period from forty-five days to twenty-eight days, previously went into effect in March.

GUERNSEY—School’s out, pools are open and many Americans are on the road, checking out the sites our country has to offer. With a number of major historical attractions, the Guernsey area sees a fair number of tourists every summer and keeping those places clean and attractive should be a priority. But with a mix of ownership, it’s not always clear just exactly who should be responsible and to what extent. But for some locals guys, getting what needed done became more important than who should do it.

Wheatland – Wild horse and burro adoption events at the Bureau of Land Management’s Wheatland Off-Range Corral will resume as scheduled throughout the summer. The last Friday in July, the public is invited to visit the Wheatland Corral to meet and take home a wild horse or burro of their own.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. – A state of Wyoming veterans service officer from the Wyoming Veterans Commission will conduct community outreach services around Wyoming cities throughout July.

Wyoming State Parks, in coordination with the Bureau of Reclamation, is announcing the temporary closure of the river crossing below Glendo dam for the safety of the visiting public.

Atlanta, Ga. - The following local career and technical students were recognized for excellence at the 2023 SkillsUSA Championships, held in Atlanta, on June 21-22. More than 6,000 students competed at the national showcase of career and technical education. The SkillsUSA Championships is the largest skill competition in the world and covers 1.79 million square feet, equivalent to 31 football fields or 41 acres.
