GUERNSEY - At Guernsey High School Veteran’s Day brought out many members of the community and the program included all the students from Guernsey-Sunrise schools. The kindergarteners who had tie-dyed special patriotic T-shirts and wore them to the ceremony led the entire crowd in the Pledge of Allegiance. Superintendent of Schools, Mike Beard welcomed the VFW and Steve Keigley, commander of VFW Post 4471 got up and gave a teaching on the bugle song, “Taps,” and the song was then sung by the Guernsey-Sunrise Elementary choir. Mr. Nathan Buetler then directed the song “Fanfare for the Unsung Hero” sung by the high school choir. Auxiliary President Pam Cain then stood up and spoke about “Buddy Poppies.” Kindergarten students from left, Lennox Lockman, Aiden Green, and Greyson Jussel.
