Exercise is a lot more fun when you can do it in the swimming pool with a group of friends.
All Guernsey residents can take advantage of the water aerobics class sponsored by the Guernsey Senior Center and the Town of Guernsey, held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5 to 6 p.m. at the community pool.
Exercising sore or stressed joints in water is lauded by the medical professionals as the normal pressure is displaced by the bouyancy of the water. Physical therapists often recommend water exercise especially for older people for this reason.
With temperatures expected to reach the 100s in the next several weeks, this might just be the place to be to stretch out those workplace aches after a full day on the job as well.
