MIDWEST – The Guernsey-Sunrise High School girls basketball team won Friday’s away conference game against Midwest by a score of 48-38. It was their first victory of the season.
Blake Rose led Viking scorers with 14 points, shooting four buckets out of 14 attempts from the floor with five free throws. Mickayla VanNatter made five shots from the floor with three buckets from the foul line for 13 points.
Macovia Stoneking scored 9 points in the Viking’s winning effort while Paige Andrews scored 5 points, Macy Mote scored 4 points and Katrina Christensen scored 3 points.
The win brings the Vikings record to 1-3 in conference and 1-12 overall.
Guernsey-Sunrise will play a home conference game against Rock River on Friday.
