GUERNSEY—The three-day event is the culminating event of the high school track season for all classes and will be held at Harry Geldien Stadium at Kelly Walsh High School.
The Viking will send five boys and seven girls to the state meet, competing in 15 events.
Junior Austin Albrecht will compete in the 100, 200 and 400 Meter Dashes. Senior Tate Stoneking will compete in the Long Jump and Triple Jump. Senior Roy Mote will throw in the Shot Put and Discus events. Freshman Justin Malcom will compete in the High Jump and sophomore Brandon Miller will cover the 3200 Meter Run.
Junior Whitney Martin will compete in the 100 and 200 Meter Dashes, the Long Jump and the Triple Jump. Twin sister Bailey Martin will throw in the Shot Put and Discus events. Sophomore Macy Mote will run the third leg of the 4x100 Meter Relay and throw in the Discus and Shot Put. Junior Shaylee Niles will run the second leg of the 4x100 Meter Relay and compete in the Long Jump. Junior Trinity Ayers will run the anchor leg of the 4x100 Meter Relay and throw in the Discus and Shot Put. Junior Kassidy Morales will run the first leg of the 4x100 Meter Relay. Freshman Katrina Christensen will be the alternate member for the 4x100 Meter Relay team.
Events begin at 11 a.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. on both Friday and Saturday. Medals are awarded as events conclude throughout the meet. Team awards are made following the conclusion of the meet.
