VFW awards Holloway ‘EMT of the Year’

Sharon Holloway of Guernsey has been named the EMT of the Year by Lake Guernsey VFW Post 4471 and has been entered in the Department of Wyoming Public Servant Award competition as an Emergency Medical Technetium (EMT).

Sharon has been an Emergency Medical Technician and a member of the Guernsey Volunteer Ambulance Service since May of 1992.

She has served as the secretary, treasurer, and for approximately 20 years, as Ambulance Director. She is a Basic Life Support Instructor and Instructor Coordinator for the American Heart Association which has led to her teaching many EMT classes over the years.

Further, Sharon has taken the instructor class from the National Association of EMS Educators to help her to improve her teaching skills.

Lake Guernsey VFW Post 4471 and its Auxiliary are very proud of the work of Sharon Holloway and wish her continued success in the VFW Public Servant Award contest and in her continuing career as an Emergency Medical Technician.
