GUERNSEY—There’s a new face behind the front desk at Guernsey Town Hall and it belongs to Elizabeth Hayes, Guernsey’s new billing clerk. Hayes is replacing Mary Fraederich, who served the community for the past 11 years. She and her husband will be moving to Arizona later this summer. Mary will continue working for the town through most of July to complete job training with the new clerk.
Hayes and her 19-month old son Jackson moved to Guernsey from Aurora, CO. Hayes said she chose to come to Wyoming for several reasons. In addition to family members already living in the area, she said the cost of living also played a role in the decision.
Hayes has extensive experience in similar positions including working accounts receivables and payables, insurance administration and retail sales.
She is currently working toward completion of her bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis in human resources.
