Tough weekend at State Track and Field

GUERNSEY – The Vikings had a less-than-desirable outcome at this year’s state track and field competition. The boys’ team finished 15th with 13.5 points, while the girls’ team finished 17th with one point. 

The 4x100 relay team of Kaleb Foggie, Tristan Honholt, Brock Honholt and Justin Malcom finished sixth with a time of 48.42 seconds, accounting for three points in event. 

Juliana Schiele finished eighth in pole vault at 7 feet, accounting for one point in the running for the Lady Vikings.

Malcom finished tied for sixth in the high jump with a height of 5-6, adding 2.5 points to the Vikings final standings. 

Brock Honholt finished fifth in the long jump with a distance of 19-8, adding four points to the team’s tally. 

Malcom finished fifth in the boy’s triple jump with a distance of 40-5.5, adding the final four points for the team’s final score.
