GUERNSEY—School’s out and that means it’s time for kids to enjoy reading and have some fun at the Guernsey Public Library.
The summer’s activities started last week for the younger set with Story Time at the Library. Pre-schoolers will enjoy two to four stories read to them on Thursdays at 11 a.m. They will also be doing a small craft project each week following the story time.
School age children are invited to story times on Fridays at 11 a.m. They will also do crafts following on selected days.
Children in either age group are welcome to attend either session but stories are selected relative to the age group and older children may be asked to assist with pre-schoolers if they attend the pre-school session.
Don’t forget to sign up at the library early to participate in this year’s summer reading program where points for reading can make you eligible for some very nice prizes at the end of the summer. The reading for points program begins Saturday, June 22nd with plenty of fun! Story time attendance and books read will add to summer reading program points. Register now and watch your points add up!
