Summer Camp 2022 ends with a grand finale

The Summer Camp Dance/Cheer sessions came to a close last week and the grand finale of the summer was a special dance/cheer recital put on by all the kids. The picture includes kids who participated in this year’s summer activities.

GUERNSEY – The Tri-City Parks and Recreation District which hosts many activities through the year hosted a summer camp for all those who wanted to learn how to dance and/or how to cheer.

After working throughout the summer in both the areas of dance and cheerleading, coaches Jessica Schreiner and Heather Walker with the assistance of camp staff Rawland, Tyler, Jasmine, Reva and Lori put together a grand finale that featured the many routines that the cheer team and the dance team had learned over the summer.

The cheer team did their routines, the dance team did their ballet and interpretive dance and when the teams came together, they got oohs and ahhs from the audience that had packed the west gym for the 20-minute performance.

They featured the music of Queen and DJ JET QUEEN Medley mix.

Students participating in the programs were Brook Offe, Brooke Sterner, Berkleigh Pafford, Madison Butcher, Rylan Carney, Brinley Howe, Amiliana Ibarra, Destani Husted, Whitley Walker, Kinsley Offe, Lydia Saukkola, Taryn Walker, Braelynn Keller, Paislee Martinez, Garrett Howe, Braelyunn Vega, Layci Schreiner, Olivia Butcher, Lennox Lockman and Skiler Morales.
