GUERNSEY – It’s time to start thinking about spring and that means flowers downtown. The early flowers are put on Wyoming Avenue and help to get the town ready for summer.
Pansies will be planted this week as they are a hearty flower that can take a few nights of cold weather and come out of it without damage. Flowers are planted by volunteers and any help is appreciated.
Guernsey Economic and Tourism Corporation purchased the flowers for the town planters and volunteers get them planted. The town sees that they are watered during the summer.
Watch for more information on the big planting day around the first week of June. In the meantime, enjoy the early flowers.
