WHEATLAND – Three siblings travel 60 miles one way for their love of lacing up the ice skates and participating in youth hockey in Cheyenne.
Olivia Gore plays on the 12u coed team, the 19u girls team, and she plays for Team Wyoming. Quinlan Gore and Kellen Gore play for the 10u team. They started playing when they were in kindergarten in Laramie. When the Gore family moved to Wheatland three years ago, they still wanted to play, so they switched to Cheyenne.  
The boys have been playing in the Colorado Recreational Hockey League and their team has gone undefeated in their division,” said Lyndie Gore, mother of the trio. “They won a tournament in Rock Springs and were invited to go play in a tournament in Utah. The state CRHL tournament was this past weekend. They won their first game, and most of the team, including the goalie ended up driving back home to Cheyenne Saturday night.”  
The following Sunday, those kids who went home couldn’t make it back down to play the second game, so the Capitals had to put one of their forwards in goalie gear and play an entire game with four players.  Kellen scored 5 goals that game and they managed to pull off the win. The championship game was a nail-biter, and  at the end of the regular game they were tied. They had a 3-minute extra period, and then they had to go into a shootout.  The Capitals ended up taking home the banner.
