Washington, D.C. –
Riverton High School students are in Washington D.C. this week learning about government and meeting legislators. Today, students from Riverton High School as well as students from Casper, Guernsey, Wheatland and Worland met Senator John Barrasso, Senator Mike Enzi and Representative Liz Cheney. Riverton High School teacher Shaundi Gopp is one of the RHS chaperones and says they’re in D.C. as part of a program called Close-Up which gives high school students a closer look into our democracy. Riverton students who attended include White Cloud Sunrhodes, Debbie Rivera, Emily Johnson and Gabby Cunningham.
