Present: Mayor Paustian, CM Kelley, CM Augustyn, CM Whitworth, CM Harris
Absent:

Mayor Paustian called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. The assembly joined in the Pledge of Allegiance and was welcomed to the meeting.
Agenda: CM Whitworth moved to approve the agenda as written, seconded by CM Kelley. Vote taken and motion carried with 5 ayes.
Minutes: CM Harris moved to approve the regular minutes for August 6, 2019, seconded by CM Whitworth. Vote taken and motion carried with 5 ayes.
Consideration of Claims: Mayor Paustian presented the vouchers for approval. CM Whitworth moved to approve the Considerations of Claims in the amount of $77,673.40, seconded by CM Kelley. Vote taken and motion carried with 5 ayes. Public Comment: N/A
Department Reports: Matt Allred reported that the Golf Course Well Drilling project has ended. We are working on a grant to compliment the 6th penny tax for the water transmission lines and water tank refurbishing. The Rail Spur project is moving full steam ahead and dirt work will be starting within the next week or so. Baker and Associates are finalizing the preliminary engineering for the Camp Guernsey Connector. Chief VanDam reported that the PD took part in the school reunification training at Camp Guernsey. She has a lot of upcoming events planned in the community; Meet & Greet, Scammer Prevention Seminar, School Safety Awareness, Junior Explorers and a Child Abduction Seminar. Kate Farmer reported that her and Matt have been working with Russ Dahlgren to finalize the Golf Course Well and starting the transmission line project.  
Mayor and Council Reports: CM Harris reiterated the nuisance yards in town. He would like to have a workshop over the winter to come up with a way to address this issue. CM Augustyn came in and fixed his alley and they did a good job repairing the damage. Mayor Paustian said that the Frederick Tournament was a huge success. He received several good comments about the golf course. He has also had a lot of nice comments about the new police department staff. The brush pile is a constant mess and we are continuing to make strides to clean it up.

Adjournment: With no further business to come before the Council, Mayor Paustian called for a motion to adjourn. CM Harris moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:36 pm, seconded by CM Whitworth. Vote taken, and motion carried with 5 ayes.
