A Celebration of Life for Tommy Andrew Schissler was held Saturday, April 14, 2018, at the Fort Laramie Community Center.

Tommy passed on March 19, 2018 The Colyer Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Tommy was born on Aug. 10, 1938, to William “Bill” Sr. and Elizabeth “Betty” (Moorehouse) Schissler.

He grew up in Fort Laramie and graduated from Fort Laramie high school in 1956. After graduation he worked on different projects, including the Hoover Dam and the Old Red Bridge in Fort Laramie to name a few.

His true passion was to move back out to the old homestead which was built in 1901 to ranch and farm.

Tommy was married to Barbara “Ann” Oliver and later divorced.

Tommy led a very simple life his own way and did what made him happy. 

He enjoyed life: his ranch, hunting and fishing with his brother Bill, working in his garden, and especially every morning with his coffee friends.

Tommy is survived by his niece Sally/Dale Miller of Green Valley, Ariz.; cousin Marie Blocker of Fort Laramie, and his coffee buddies.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, three brothers, baby Schissler, James, Bill, and a sister-in-law, Marilynn.
