LINGLE – The Guersney-Sunrise High School volleyball team dropped a pair of road matches last week to Lingle-Fort Laramie and to Niobrara County.
On Tuesday, the L-FL Lady Doggers swept the Lady Vikings, 3-0 (25-14, 26-24, 25-22).
Junior Afton Kelley led Guernsey with eight kills, while seniors Macoyia Stoneking and Chloe Heer added three and four, respectively.
On the defensive side of the court, the Lady Vikings tallied seven blocks, led by senior Alexis Elmore with four. Stoneking dished out three assists.
On Saturday, the Lady Vikings fell to the NCHS Lady Tigers, 3-1.
Guernsey won the first set, 25-22, but the Lady Tigers responded with three straight sets to score the win, 25-10, 25-23, 25-23.
Elmore again led the Lady Vikings with eight kills and four blocks, while Kelley added five and Heer four. Guernsey recorded 16 serving aces. Stoneking and Kelley had four each.
The Lady Vikings (1-3) hosts Hanna-Elk Mountain on Friday. First serve is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
