WHEATLAND—After qualifying for the right to play in the regional volleyball tournament last weekend in Wheatland, the good feeling and excitement came to a crashing halt Friday morning when the Lady Vikes had to play Kaycee, the top-ranked team in the Northeast Conference. Kaycee went to work and the match was short and to the point as the Lady Bucs topped Guernsey-Sunrise in three straight games by scores of 25-12, 25-16 and 25-14. That put the Lady Vikes in a win or go home matchup with Rock River and the result was much the same. The Lady Longhorns won three straight games of 25-9, 25-11 and 25-10.
The Vikes will graduate seniors Mickayla VanNatter, Taylor Stroud, Macy Mote and Gloria Oliver.
