GUERNSEY—The Lady Vikings came up quite few points short against the Sioux County Lady Warriors from Harrison, NE this past Friday in the East gym.
The Lady Warriors shut the Lady Vikes offense down and claimed a 49-25 win; pushing the Guernsey-Sunrise season record to 2-13 overall and a 0-4 conference mark. Stats were not available at press time.
This week, they’ll head across the canyon to face Hanna-Elk Mountain on Friday. Two quarters of junior varsity girls begins at 4:30 p.m., followed by the varsity girls and then the varsity boys.

On Saturday, Rock River comes to Guernsey for the Lady Vikes final home game. The boys’ varsity game begins at 1 p.m., followed by the girls’ varsity at 2:30 p.m. There will be no junior varsity games.
The 1-A East Regional Tournament will be played in Douglas on February 21-22.
Based on results to date, the Lady Vikings will likely play on the 21st at 10:30 a.m. They would face the top see from the Northeast Conference.
