LINGLE—The Guernsey-Sunrise junior high boys had a full week of competition with games at Lingle-Fort Laramie, Rock River and Hanna-Elk Mountain. The Vikings’ A team is currently undefeated in five contests and dominating most of their opponents. The Vikings’B team is still seeking their first win, standing at 0-4.
At Lingle, the A team picked up a 50-37 win and the B team came up on the short end of a 37-12 score.
In the A game, the little Vikes put three players in double figures. Brian McCoid and Bryce Stenson each finished with 15 points and Tristan Hohnholt added 13 points, including three treys. Dawson Bingham pitched in five points and Alex Waring hit a pair of free-throws.
The Vikings’ B team had their hands full of a tough Dogger defense that kept the Vikes from scoring. James Jenkins had five points, Kolten Weinkauf, Nathan VanNatter and Aiden Noggle each had two points and Julian Rodriguez added a free-throw.
At Rock River, the boys played one game against the Longhorns, then split to the A and B teams for the games against H-EM.
