Historic Site Dedication set for Hell Gap

Posted

The Hell Gap site was listed as a National Historic Landmark (NHL) by the Secretary of the Interior on December 23, 2016. The Wyoming Archaeological Foundation and the Wyoming State Historic Preservation Office along with other program sponsors are planning to celebrate the national recognition of the important place this archaeological site holds in American history.
Join us at the Hell Gap site Saturday morning, July 22, 2017.

The ribbon cutting and dedication for Wyoming’s twenty-seventh NHL will begin at 11 a.m. Lunch will follow.
Tours of the site and atlatl throwing demonstrations, including the opportunity to participate, will be held throughout the day. We have a limited number of chairs available so please bring along a lawn chair.
Please register for this event so we can plan to have enough food for everyone. We look forward to seeing you at the site!
