PINE BLUFFS - Guernsey-Sunrise High School took a small squad of seven athletes to compete at the Pine Bluffs Invitational track meet April 18. The majority of the team was competing at the Art Symposium in Casper.
“It was a very hot and windy day, with gusts reaching in the extreme level,” said head track coach Doug Horton. "The athletes battled through the touch conditions and Caleb Christensen blasted the shot put 42-04 placing third in a field of 77 athletes.”
Juliana Schiele will compete Tuesday at The Best of the West All Star meet in Scotts Bluff, Nebraska. Taylor Sterner a standout eighth grader will also compete in the long jump at the BOW.
“Young Viking turned in another strong performance in Torrington,” Horton said. “The Medley team remains undefeated.”
