Funds Raised for Local Chapter of Special Olympics

The goal of the global program for Special Olympics is to empower athletes ages 2-99 to shatter stereotypes and exceed their personal bests on the playing field. The Wheatland Cinema hosted a fundraising event to help their cause.

With a ticketed showing of the film Champions starring Woody Harrelson, Kaitlyn Olson and Matt Cook, the proceeds from sales and concessions raised $300.00 with the First State Bank matching the donation.
