Freedom and Fireworks theme for Guernsey July Fourth celebration

Posted

GUERNSEY—“FREEDOM AND FIREWORKS” has been chosen as the theme for this year’s July Fourth celebration in Guernsey.

Parade entry forms are available at Guernsey City Hall, Guernsey Post Office, Guernsey Visitor’s Center, First State Bank, Banner Capital Bank, Register Cliff Pharmacy, Twisters, Ben’s Bar, Kelly’s Bar, and Howshar Hardware.

Entries should be returned to Guernsey City Hall or Register Cliff Pharmacy no later than Friday, July 1 at NOON. You may also text a photo of your registration page to Vicki Hood at 307-534-6535 by noon on July 1.

It is important that you pre-register on the forms provided as this affects the line-up of the parade. Late or unregistered entries will be placed at the back of the parade—no exceptions.

Prizes for the top three entries will be presented based on our judge’s selections. Judging criteria includes relevance to theme, crowd appeal, originality and craftsmanship.

If you would be interested in serving as a parade judge, have questions, or need more information, please contact Vicki Hood, Parade Chairman at 307-534-6535.

The parade will line up at 9:45 a.m. on Monday, July 4th near Guernsey-Sunrise Schools. Information about line-up is included on the parade entry forms.

The parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. sharp and travel north from the school on Wyoming Ave. and continue across U.S. Highway 26 to the north, finishing at the end of Wyoming Ave. near the railroad.
