GUERNSEY - The 27th annual Frederick Memorial Golf Tournament is in the books and the results are in for the tournament.
In 27 years the course is still as beautiful as ever according to one of the original organizers of the tournament, Doug Frederick.
“The course looks great after 27 years,” Frederick said. “The golf has gone to hell.”
Frederick was not yet a century old when the first tournament was played. The field was 180 golfers.
“I think we had 64 teams one year, which was the biggest,” said Doug’s brother Chuck Frederick, another original organizer of the tournament. 54 teams would be ideal, but we just don’t turn ‘em down. It’s a great three or four days.
