In December, the National Honor Society chapters from Guernsey-Sunrise High School, sponsored by Kristie Smith and Lingle-Ft. Laramie High School, sponsored by Shannon Fleming, engaged in a “competitive food drive” for the second year in a row. Lingle “won” the competition with a total of 1,027.9 pounds of canned and non-parishable food collected.
Guernsey collected 536.7 pounds of canned and non-parishable food. Between the two chapters, more than 1,600 pounds of food was collected and distributed to a the local food banks.
