A memorial service for Clarence Edward “Moon” Millikin, 82, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 2 at the Millikin Ranch, 1000 Glendo Park Road, Glendo, with The Reverend Bill Walker and Pastor Tim Millikin officiating.  Inurnment will be at the Millikin Ranch. There will be a carry in dinner following the service at the Millikin Ranch, Tim and Lisa’s home. The location of the service will be marked.
Moon died Saturday, Jan. 30 at the Platte County Legacy Home in Wheatland.
Clarence was born Saturday, April 2, 1938 in a small two room log cabin in Glendo the son of Orman Edwin and Donna A. (Martin) Millikin.  He grew up on the family ranch east of Glendo and went to a country school the first five grades, and finished his education at the Glendo public school.  He married Mary Sue Askins in Douglas and to this marriage three daughters: Wilma Suzette, Donna Ann, and Crystal Leigh were born.  They were later divorced. Moon spent most of his life working with heavy equipment on road construction and mining mainly in the Rocky Mountain region. On June 14, 1970 he married Darlene E. (Hightower) Wright, they had one daughter, Tamera Yvett. He lived in Fort Laramie the past 25 years traveling to various jobs from there.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Suzette, in 1976; his father, Orman, on Dec.r 23, 2012; and mother, Donna, on April 2, 1998.
Moon is survived by his brother, Butch (Bonnie) Millikin, of Glendo; sister, Nina (Bill) Walker of Guernsey; wife, Darlene, of Fort Laramie; three daughters; step children; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be his many friends.
A memorial to the Clarence Millikin Memorial Fund in care of the First State Bank, P.O. Box 39, Wheatland, WY 82201 would be appreciated by the family.
