Camp offers ammo amnesty October 15

Posted

CAMP GUERNSEY JOINT TRAINING CENTER, Wyo. - Camp Guernsey will hold its annual military ammunition amnesty day Oct. 15, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The program, in accordance with Department of Defense regulations, is
designed for the public to turn in military ammunition only. Unexploded
ordnance can be dangerous and should not be stored at a private residence.

If you have military munitions and you wish to dispose of these items (no
questions asked), you can bring them to the turn-in site at Camp Guernsey
South Pistol Range on South Wyoming Highway, located approximately 3/4 of a mile past the Platte River Bridge. Watch for the signs.
If you feel the ammunition is too dangerous to move, you can call the Camp
Guernsey Fire Desk at 307-836-7810, and a crew will properly dispose of the munitions.
Again, there will be no questions asked.
