F.E. WARREN AIR FORCE BASE – Security Forces members from 20th Air Force’s three missile wings graduated the Tactical Response Force Assaulter Course during a graduation ceremony at Camp Guernsey, Wyoming, July 28.

The defenders are assigned to the 90th Missile Wing at F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming, the 91st MW at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota and the 341st MW at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Montana.

There were also three defenders who graduated the Weapons and Tactics Master Instructor course. This course was the first to be conducted under 20th AF.

“It was my honor to preside over the graduation of 39 Tactical Response Force students and three Weapons and Tactics Master Instructor students,” said Col. Lloyd Buzzell, 20th AF vice commander. “The graduation of the WTMI students was a “first ever” for 20 AF and being a part of the spirt, motivation and comradery displayed by all of these defenders was amazing. This training is critical to ensure our defenders are ready every day to meet any threat”.

The training consisted of distance shooting, combat drills, building entry, vehicle take-downs and the basics of aircraft integration.

“This course is important because we train the dedicated capture and recovery force for nuclear weapons,” said Staff Sgt. Grant Urich, 620th GCTS instructor supervisor. “They have trained and prepared for anything they could potentially face in the missile field.”

These graduates are equipped with the knowledge and skills to go back to their units and defend America’s nuclear weapons and resources in the missile field.

“The training and tactics that we learned were phenomenal,” said Staff Sgt. Alexander Morley, 91st MSFS Tactical Response Force Assaulter graduate. It feels good to be able to take that back and teach other Airmen and NCOs.”
