Because of the 16-inch snowfall April 4, the I-25 corridor was closed to travel northbound through Wheatland. A bus bound for Washington State exited to highway 34 to the frontage road where the driver missed a sharp curve, went off the road and flipped over on its side. Those injured in the crash were transported to Platte County Memorial Hospital in Wheatland.
