WHEATLAND – Wheatland Kiwanis Club President Gwen Seidel announced applications are now available to those wishing to apply for the Wheatland Kiwanis Club Memorial Scholarship.
“This opportunity is in memory of deceased Kiwanians, each of whom were dedicated to the youth of Platte County,” Seidel said. “Kiwanis is a civic minded organization dedicated to improving our world, one child at a time.”
The club sponsors scholarship opportunities for high school seniors graduating from a Platte County High School, and to a former Platte County High School student planning to attend, or already attending, an accredited community college, trade school, University of Wyoming or out-of-state universities.
Applications are available at each high school in Platte County, and at community colleges and the University of Wyoming. Students should contact their school counselor and/or the financial aid office to receive an application.
Applications must be received no later than April 15, 2023, and must be returned via hard-copy only. No electronic applications will be accepted. For more information or to receive an application please contact your school counselor and/or financial aid office first, or Jim Lockwood at jolo1960@yahoo.com or Linda Fabian at linda@wyshs.org.
