Strong winds and drifting snow forced widespread road closures and shut down schools, businesses and government for two days last week while residents worked to dig out driveways and sidewalks.
Snow depths across the region ranged anywhere from 10 to 20 inches with drifts as high as six to eight feet reported in places.
