WHEATLAND – The annual Oktoberfest celebration returns to downtown Wheatland this Thursday night.
It is the first day of autumn and apropos for Platte County’s huge pumpkin spice, burn the leaves, dance the polka and eat the brats kind of night.
Brought to you by the Platte County Main Street group and sponsored by MBPP, Laramie Peak Motors and Bob Ruwart Motors it was is an evening of fun, food, beer, music and shopping. Over 25 vendors will transform Wheatland’s historic downtown into a mini-German village. Some of the things on the list of activities are the party sounds of Justin Herdt and DJ Magik, WHS Jazz Band playing some live polkas, free brats, chips and water sponsored by Missouri Basin Power Plant and served by First State Bank and Platte Valley Bank. There is also a Bouncy House sponsored by Impact Ministries. There will also be $3 sundaes provided by the VFW Auxiliary, but don’t suggest those before the bouncy house experience.
Of course there will be a car show beer tent where you can buy a mug for $10 and you will receive one free beer and $2 beers for the rest of the night.
Polka, polka polka downtown Wheatland at Oktoberfest 2022. The fun begins at 5 p.m and lasts until 8 p.m.
