GUERNSEY – The American Legion Auxiliary, J.J. Webb Unit 95, conducted their 2021 Poppy Poster Contest and Chairperson Sally Mack announced the winners at the March 25 G.S. Elementary assembly.
In Class I (grades 2-3), first prize to Logan Lewis, second prize to Kord Prewitt and third prize to Carlos Gonzalez. In Class II (grades 4-5) first prize went to Anna Byrd, second prize to Abby Seyfang and Jaylynn Grant received third prize.
They all received a monetary prize and certificate. A special thanks to Art teacher Mrs. Green, for allowing her classes to do the posters during class. All the posters will be posted around Guernsey during May, before being returned to the students.
