WHEATLAND – It was a wild goose chase on the new month of August, the final day of the Platte County Fair, and it was all for a great cause.
The Wheatland Middle School cross-country runners hosted the Wild Goose Chase 5K with all of the proceeds from the race going toward getting the middle school athletes neon practice shirts that would allow the kids to run as safely as possible through town.
There were 30 participants in this year’s inaugural race which began at 7:30 a.m. at the Platte County fairgrounds.
